Stewards are the lifeblood of our union. They are the first line of defense against bad management. They are a lifeline and resource to AFSCME members and potential members in every workplace. For many AFSCME members, their steward is the face of AFSCME. As a steward, you can be a powerful voice on the job and leader in your workplace.

Being a steward is a great way to improve your workplace, strengthen your union, and get hands on experience in the labor movement.

This training will give you all the technical skills you need to be a strong AFSCME steward. Whether you’re new to being a steward, or you’ve done it for a decade and just want to make sure your skills are sharp as ever – this training has something for you.
