Member Organizers

Dear AFSCME members:

With the disaffiliation of several unions from the AFL-CIO and their launch of raiding activity against AFSCME, we must act now to build our internal strength. Trained, informed and mobilized AFSCME members are our greatest resource.

We are moving quickly to build a cadre of experienced AFSCME Member Organizers who can help on internal and external organizing campaigns, and to defend our union against raiding organizations.

We need Member Organizers who are:

Outgoing
Good listeners
Passionate about injustice
Believers in the union
Strategic thinkers
Dependable
Able to move people to action

We are prepared to pay $13.00 per hour. Member Organizers will work Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturdays from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM.
